Vice President, Equipment Purchasing
As the newest member of UFPC’s executive staff, Scott brings a broad base of experience in foodservice equipment acquired from three segments of the industry: a franchisee co-op, a regional brand with corporate- and franchisee-owned stores and an equipment dealer/distributor. His industry knowledge is a crucial foundation for successfully managing contract negotiations upwards of $260 million annually for equipment and related products for 23,000 stores.
Scott’s group negotiates volume cost savings and ensures an available supply of equipment and smallwares for concept co-op member stores. Equipment Purchasing builds strong, trustworthy relationships among brand engineering, franchisees and manufacturers.
After earning a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas, Scott held positions in equipment sourcing and purchasing with the Whataburger restaurant chain, Subway and PrimeSource. His most recent position was as Director of Equipment and Supplies for Whataburger, where he centralized negotiations and purchasing for 700 stores across 10 states.
