Tim Mueller

Vice President, General Manager, KFC National Purchasing Co-op, Inc.

As the leader of UFPC’s KFC Concept Co-op, Tim and his team provide program management and fresh poultry distribution services for KFC restaurants, while purchasing more than $1 billion of poultry on behalf of A&W, KFC, Long John Silver’s, Pizza Hut and Taco Bell. The high-performing professionals on the KFC team are challenged with balancing the needs of our members with those of Yum! Brands, and they continually meet this challenge under Tim’s leadership. In addition to mitigating financial risk for our owners, the team provides a significant contribution to the success of UFPC.

Well-known for his unique and confident communication style, Tim ensures that the KFC team maintains expertise through strong relationships with board members and committees. This clear understanding of the importance of our board members and over 600 franchisees fuels the passion that the KFC Co-op exudes under Tim’s leadership.

Since joining UFPC in 1999, Tim has led teams in Multibranding, Centralized Food and Paper Purchasing, and Equipment Sourcing. With over 20 years of food industry expertise, Tim began his career as a research engineer with Kraft General Foods, Inc. in Illinois. After joining KFC Purchasing and eventually directing packaging purchasing for Pepsico Restaurant Services Group, Tim moved to Louisville to share his talents as leader of UFPC’s packaging team.

Tim has an MBA from the University of Texas and a Bachelor of Science in engineering management from the University of Missouri.
