Allan Eklund
Vice President, Chief Information Officer, Information Services
Passionate about personal involvement, Allan is committed to helping UFPC serve concept co-op members through technology. During his tenure, all systems have been replaced, upgraded or developed from inception by Allan and his team of technology professionals. His accomplishments include a successful enterprise resource planning (ERP) installation and the conception and development of a supply chain visibility system. Allan’s focus on data delivery and full disaster recovery capabilities proactively meet the needs of our concept co-op members. Continuously seeking to raise the level of electronic integrity within the industry, Allan and his team have taken a leading role in areas such as bar coding and the development of standards for electronic communication within the foodservice industry.
Allan joined UFPC in July 1999 with more than 20 years of experience in the development of supply chain systems and technology. While serving as Division Systems Manager for General Foods Corp., he created companywide databases of operational and marketing information. Allan is a member of the Efficient Foodservice Response Organization and Infragard National Member’s Alliance. Allan earned a bachelor’s degree in computer science and a bachelor’s degree in physics from the State University of New York.
