Ranga Damodaran
Vice President,General Manager, Taco Bell National Purchasing Co-op, Inc.
In 2009, Ranga was promoted to Vice President, General Manager of the Taco Bell Concept Co-op. Ranga leads UFPC’s team responsible for sourcing beef- and pork-related products and produce for all Yum! Brands concepts, as well as core products for Taco Bell. His leadership also covers food, packaging and equipment program management for Taco Bell.
Ranga’s career with the Taco Bell system began as a buyer in 1993. Eventually working his way to Purchasing Director in 2000, his progression took him to UFPC’s Dallas hub, where he led the wheat-purchasing team for the Pizza Hut National Purchasing Co-op, Inc. for nearly eight years. He returned to Taco Bell in 2008, assuming the role of Senior Director, Purchasing. Before joining UFPC, Ranga held a position at PepsiCo Food Systems, which followed positions at Denon Electronics USA and Steelage Industries.
In 2009, the Irvine team was rebuilt to strengthen its ability to meet and manage Taco Bell’s planned growth. Ranga earned a bachelor’s degree with honors in Chemistry from Delhi University in India and an MBA in Finance from Rutgers University.
